The Journey of Tío Conejo and the Exotic Coffees
They say that the exotic has its charm; that the strange and the different always attract, teach, and awaken curiosity. At Tío Conejo’s farm, we’ve known that for a long time. Here, we’ve never been afraid of being uncommon, because in what sets us apart we find the way to grow each day.
Mornings may look alike, but it’s the birdsong that makes each one unique. The same happens with coffee: the beans may look the same, but it’s their story that gives them a soul. And when the aroma begins to rise, the senses fill with magic and the heart remembers that some things are impossible to describe and easy to love.
Not long ago, Tío Conejo decided to wander around the world. He traveled through distant lands, where coffee fields speak different languages and the wind carries unfamiliar scents. From there he brought back some curious seeds —Sudan Rume and Wush Wush— and planted them with patience on the mountains of Caldas. Today they grow beside the Natural Gesha, and the three of them have become part of the most delicious stories we tell here.
